Ethiopia Coronavirus Cases Rise To 21
March 30, 2020 (FBC) -Ethiopia yesterday reported five new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 21.
According to the Ministry of Health, three individuals from Addis Ababa and two from Adama city, Oromia regional state, have tested positive.
Currently, there are 17 cases in isolation and treatment center with one of the patient receiving intensive care.

March 28, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopian Airlines (Ethiopian0, the Pan-African carrier, has delivered medical supplies donated by Jack Ma, the founder of China’s e-commerce giant Alibaba, to 39 African Countries within 5 days.
Ethiopian has transported Jack Ma’s support including testing kits, masks and protective suits.
Ethiopia’s Coronavirus Cases Rise To 16

March 24, 2020 (FBC) -Ethiopia has confirmed four additional cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number to 16.
According to a statement issued by the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, three of the confirmed cases are 61, 28 and 24 years old Ethiopian nationals.
President Calls On Public To Follow Government’s Advice To Combat COVID-19
March 26, 2020 (FBC) –President Sahle-Work Zewde has called upon the public to follow advice given by the government to halt spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The government has been taking more measures to curtail the spread of the virus, she said.

March 26, 2020 (FBC) –Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed has held phone conversation with Akinwumi Adesina, President of AfDB and Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of IMF.
The Prime Minister said on Twitter that “both reiterated their understanding of the continent’s unique needs.”

March 28, 2020 (FBC) –The Ministry of Health announced that one patient has fully recovered from the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) reported yesterday four more confirmed cases of the virus, bringing the total number to 16.
However, out of the total cases, the country registered its first patient who has fully recovered from the virus.

Police To Take Measures Against Violators Of COVID-19 Directives
March 27, 2020 (FBC) – The Federal Police Commission said it will take as of today appropriate legal measures against individuals who do not comply with the directives issued by the government to curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Endeshaw Tassew, Federal Police Commissioner General, said the directives to maintain social distancing, avoid shaking hands and large gatherings are not being practiced properly.
